 ZAC 2099...  The era of peace that has lasted for over 40 years has come to an end. The two major powers, the Guylos Empire and the Helic Republic, have finally clashed on the western continent of Europa. The two armies are engaged in a fierce battle for control over Mount Olympus, the most strategic base, but the Republic's forces have been driven to the brink of extinction before the Imperial Army, which was fully prepared to challenge them to this war...

 In this difficult battle, the high-speed surprise attack units Shield Liger and Command Wolf have barely managed to hold the front lines for the Republican Army, but one month after the start of the war, a reconnaissance unit, Double Sworder, reported that the summit of Mount Olympus had finally fallen under the control of the Imperial Army. The battle over the region had already been decided. If they didn't withdraw as soon as possible, the Republican Army forces would be destroyed.

 The Republican Zoids forces retreated towards the east one after another. However, there were several Zoids still heading west, with their confused allies at their backs. They had been given a special mission: To confirm another piece of information brought in by the Double Sworder; that the Imperial Army, after conquering Mount Olympus had brought in a giant Zoid-like mecha, bringing it to the ruins on the summit.

 There were many old ruins that still remained on the Western Continent, but most of them were so decrepit that they couldn't be analyzed. What if there was a way to revive that lost super-civilization within the Imperial Army and use it for military purposes?

 At the summit, the pilots who had survived the journey finally saw it. The shadow of a huge Zoid being cultivated in some strange device from the super-civilization. The Command Wolf's computer uncovered the identity of the Zoid. It was the Death Saurer. A dinosaur-type Zoid that had earned its reputation of invincibility during the Central Continent War. It was a monster that had the power to erase an entire Gojulas from existence in a single blast, and was considered the strongest among all existing Zoids. If this Zoid were to be revived in the current age...

 Not only the battle for the Western Continent, but also the Central Continent, which was the homeland of the Republic, would fall into the hands of the Empire without any resistance. The commander of the Shield Liger unit decided to plunge into the ruins with all surviving Zoids in the unit with the aim of preventing the Death Saurer's resurrection at any cost.

 But, the brave commander was unaware. Death Saurer, which had been given the code number EZ-021, was ready to fight, even if it was incomplete. Now, the legendary ultimate weapon, the Charged Particle Cannon, is about to roar into action.

 During the Central Continent War, the Zenebas Empire, which fought for supremacy against the Helic Republic, dedicated all of its national power to creating the strongest invincible dinosaur-type giant Zoid. That Zoid was the Death Saurer.

 Its super-heavy armor frame could repel all shelling, missile, and beam cannon attacks, and the powerful weapons covering its entire body could crush all enemy Zoids.

 In the old war, the scenario where a single Death Saurer challenged a large unit of Gojulas immediately after its rollout and obliterated the entire enemy base was so famous that it has now become a legend. It's said that the weapon used by the Death Saurer at that time was a Large-Calibre Charged Particle Cannon equipped inside its mouth.

 It draws static electricity from the air through an intake fan on its back, and converts it into energy inside its body, then further amplifies it and fires it as a particle beam. It's literally the strongest weapon in history, which obliterates objects at an atomic level.

 Even in fighting battles, it still boasts overwhelming power with its electromagnetic claw, the Hyper Killer Claw, and the Added-Gravity Impact Tail, which could shred any Republican Zoid of the time like a mere piece of paper.

 The one weakness of the Death Saurer is that the Charged Particle Cannon, which consumes too much energy, can't be fired continuously.
