- Introduction

The rival of the ZOIDS anime character's main character, the Raven Spec., the Most Terrifying Dinosaur, is back!! The molding color of the frame, which was purple in the regular version of the Geno Saurer, has been changed to Red to produce a more vicious image.

New parts are used for the base of the neck and tail, so the mold has also been modified, and a more natural Charged Particle Gun Firing pose can be taken compared to the previous Geno Saurer. In addition, new parts that can reproduce the claw arm have been added, allowing you to enjoy a wide variety of actions compared to the regular version. In addition, two pre-painted figures of the same scale for Raven (both pilot and standing figure) and a pre-painted figure of the black organoid Shadow have been included.

Special decals are also included, and since it is a multi-color kit specification, it'll look like the anime setting even if it's not painted. The package is drawn by Mercy Rabbit! You can enjoy the powerful illustrations drawn by him.

- Notes

  •  According to an old article discussing the HMM Zoids 3rd Public Product Planning conference, where Kotobukiya met publicly with fans to discuss and decide on new products, the HMM Geno Saurer molds had been partially destroyed before the production of the Raven Version. This made the kit difficult to realize.

  •  The Raven Version was also the first Geno Saurer (and HMM in general) to address prior molding issues with the base kit, rather than simply adding new equipment. The Raven included parts that allow it to take a proper firing stance with the back lined up straight. In the original version, the body kind of formed a slight V curve with the tail and head angled upwards. The new parts for this kit included:

     - Parts (including new molding for the base of the tail) to allow a proper CPC firing pose
     - A long-barrelled nose gun
     - Extension parts to simulate the extending claws from the anime
     - Painted standing and sitting Raven figures
     - A painted Shadow figure

With this release, the original Geno build would be permanently retired. Every subsequent release, including variations like the Psycho Geno Saurer included the new CPC-firing pose parts and the claw extensions.

  •  Due to various reasons Mercy Rabbit had to submit the box art for the original Geno Saurer while not being satisfied with how it looked at the time. Mercy considered the Raven versions box art to be their 'revenge' for this, by showing the Geno Saurer off in a particularly cool lighting. The scene was also a subtle nod to the original Tomy Geno Breaker box art, which included a rainy scene.
