A 1/72 assembly kit. By switching on the motorized unit, it can walk with powerful dinosaur-like movement. Its transformation into the Charged Particle Cannon firing state can also be recreated manually. The eyes, charged particle cannon, and Zoid core light up with LEDs. A 1/72 scale figure of the anime character Raven as well as an original soldier figure can be seated in the cockpit (all figures are unpainted). Two types of head weapons are included, allowing you to change between the mass-production and dedicated machine. Two colors of chest cockpit covers are included as well, allowing you to recreate numerous variations.
* Check out the official page for this product, which is way cooler! The page you're viewing now exists purely for achival purposes, as countless Zoids products pages and their images have been lost to time over the years.

- Design Discussion
Not only has the design of the kit been reimagined based on the original design during its initial release in 2000, but its also been reimagined based on the anime, updating not only the overall silhouette but also the design and details of each individual part including the face, arms, legs, torso, and tail.
AZ-09 Geno Saurer Design Concept Final Sketch
While maintaining the original Geno Saurer silhouette, the team aimed to create a modern, highly detailed Geno Saurer by updating the specifics of its design. From this stage onwards, the design proceeded under the assumption that leg support bars wouldn't be used. Therefore, the size of each part was adjusted with the weight balance in mind. Additional adjustments were made to the shape of the details in the final model, in pursuit of a more modern Geno Saurer design.
AZ-09 Geno Saurer Design Concept Final Sketch (Side)
The final sketch of the side view was created based on the final sketch of the overall design. 3D data was created based on the sketch, and adjustments were made to the overall design as well as to each part.
Upper Parts
The neck can be manually transformed into the charged particle cannon firing state found in the original Geno Saurer, but now also has a mechanism that allows it to move in tandem with walking. This makes the movement when walking more dynamic. The inside has a frame with mechanical details built in, with the intention of making it more convincing as a metallic lifeform.
Arms
The arms are equipped with a manual movement gimmick, allowing the user to freely pose them by hand. The elbows are equipped with cylinders that actually expand and contract when the elbow moves. Not only the wrists, but also each of the claws can be moved individually, allowing for a variety of different appearances.
Legs
Details have been added to the back of the large fins, a distinctive feature of the Geno Saurer, with heat dissipation mechanisms in mind. The golden cylinders have also been recreated in the product, expanding and contracting in tandem with the mech's walking motion. Furthermore, the armor caps that were used as decorative parts in the original Geno Saurer have been changed to caps that actually secure the frame, updating the mech to be more like a Zoid with built-in mechanisms. Furthermore, the weapon joint functions that were present in these decorative caps has been maintained by providing a separate joint, ensuring expandability.
In order to pursue the realism of Zoids as metallic lifeforms, we confirmed the internal movements from the early stages. In addition to testing the interlocking mechanisms of the newly-added linking mechanisms in the neck and tail, we also verified its walking ability without having to rely on auxiliary support bars. The design data of the refined bipedal walking gimmicks seen in Zoids Wild was fed back into the leg structure, and development was carried out with the aim of achieving a more stable walking movement than the original Geno Saurer.
Power
Driven by a motor, its realistic walking is almost as if it's alive, the whole body moving in tandem from the head to the tail. The leg structure has been completely redesigned from the original Geno Saurer. The toes move in tandem with the walking motion, allowing it to move without the support bar traditionally used in bipedal Zoids.

- Reproducibility
The setting and design from the TV anime have also been carefully re-examined. The heat dissipation fins in the tail that were recreated for the charged particle cannon firing state, something so symbolic of the Geno Saurer, can be opened and closed, and the Leg Anchors and Vernier Cover are also movable. In addition, a scale figure of the Imperial Geno Saurer pilot "Raven" is included. Faithful recreations of the scenes from the anime are also an added element of this product's appeal.
Tail Heat Exhaust Fins We've recreated the tail exhaust fins opening and closing during the charged particle cannon firing sequence from the anime.
Leg Anchors & Vernier Cover The movement of the leg anchors and the opening and closing of the vernier cover from the charged particle cannon firing sequence in the anime have also been recreated.
Raven 1/72 Scale Figure A raven figure is included that can be seated in the Geno Saurer's abdominal cockpit.
In Addition, A 1/72 scale generic pilot figure can be seated in the cockpit instead.
