The Genospino has awakened, and moves towards the Republic's City Fortress of Mosaic. They must make a stand or risk the monstrous Zoid reaching the capital of the Republic, but even the Republic's most powerful Zoids are failing to stand against it.

- Notable Facts

Reconnaissance Base Alpha Nine of the Republic was destroyed before reinforcements could arrive to drive away the Genospino.

Following the Genospino incident, Siegal alleged that the whole thing was the responsibility of Collins, a single man gone rogue, even referring to him as the mad dog. This was in spite of the fact that he had passed away before the Genospino could be completed, but since the project as a whole was highly secretive, he was an easy scapegoat.

This episode features a city fortress known as "Mosaic." It's made up of partially destroyed buildings forming a mosaic pattern, and serves as the Republic's central base, its defenses second to none. Because the landscape was one of the few places successfully regenerated as a result of the Zi-Forming device, even First Generation citizens can breath without a mask. When the Republic first discovered the area they referred to it as the Land of Hope, and developed the city fortress Mosaic around it to protect it.

In the Zoids Wild Zero dub, Helic is translated as Herrick when referring to Neo Helic City.. We'll continue to use Helic for consistency's sake across the site.

Siegal, having taken over the Genospino project after Collins passed, appointed Aldridge to pilot the Genospino.

With the destruction caused by the Genospino, Aysel and Dias contemplated whether Leo and the others should be removed from the situation, both agreeing that they never should've been involved in the first place. Aysel, however, argued that while she agreed, they were already involved, and loved the Earth as much as they did.

Siegal reached out and apologized for the Genospino event, insisting that they had never intended to start a war, but that the incident was instead the result of a rogue. To back up his evidence he showed footage of destroyed Empire Zoids, insisting that they had no idea how to stop it. So confident was he in the Genospino's power, that he expressed his agreement with the Republic destroying their legendary Zoid to prevent further damage to either side.

The Republic devised a plan to antagonize the Genospino into chasing Dias and his Triceradogos. Once in the specified location, they dropped the walls of Mosaic on the Zoid, but this failed to do damage. Their plans quickly fell apart when the group tried to stop the Genospino. The Beast Liger, who failed to escape, was torn to shreds. Just as the genospino was about to deliver the killing blow, Dias shoved Leo out of the way, and his Triceradogos was chopped in half by the Geno Sauzer.
