The Empire

The Empire is one of two major factions in Zoids Wild Zero. Though it's not given a specific name, it's prominent throughout the entire series. Imperial Zoids are often distinguished by the Z-O Visors, which allows pilots to assert greater control over each and every command given to their Zoid.

- Overview

Zoids Development Program, Advanced Technology

The Empire is said to have an excellent Zoids Development Program. Their greater understanding of how Zoids work, how to develop particularly large Zoids, and the development of various weaponry has given them an edge in many situations. Their research programs, often led by Dr. Frank Land have also been behind the creation of the Zoids Operate Visors, which are still in use today to control Zoids. He's also credited for the Blast-Proof Suit, which allows a pilot to access their Zoids' Wild Blast without the severe physical repercussions normally known to this technique.

- History

Pursuit of Sally Land, Story Premise

The Empire sought to gain control of Bowman's research, and pursued both he and his granddaughter, Sally Land. They sent units out to capture them on numerous occasions, though fell just short each time.

The Genospino Project, Early Episodes

When the Empire uncovered the remains of a giant Zoid, they struggled to identify it because its remains had been scattered by massive tectonic shifts. Through thorough research they revealed it to be the Genospino, a Zoid said to have destroyed a third of the planet in a single night. They immediately directed resources to excavating this Zoid and discovering where the other pieces were scattered to. Dr. Frank Land was tasked with excavating and restoring these parts, while Christopher Giller, an ace pilot of the Empire was tasked with protecting him and his project at all costs. It was their belief that if they could restore this Zoid, it would put an end to their conflicts with the promise of the assurred destruction of their enemies. However, if the Republic managed to gain control of even a single piece, the Zoid would remain a fossil, and forever useless.
