- Episode 58: Attack of the Winged Dragons

Summary

             

 Using a Hammer Kaiser the Death Stinger has gone into the upper atmosphere, using the advantageous firing point to destroy cities below with the Charged Particle Cannon. The only way to bring the Hammer Kaiser down is to launch two Storm Sworders into space after it. For this task Irvine and Thoma are chosen to fly the units. Elsewhere Bang and a group of Republican soldiers are left scrambling against armies hired by Hiltz. Just when they think the battle is over a blue Geno Saurer shows up. Will Bang and his damaged be able to face Rease and her Zoid alone?

  • When piloting the Pteras, Fine has the call name of Hawkeye.

  • A denim region is listed as one of the Death Stinger's targets, along with Ethan Mountain Base (which had a telescope.)

  • Hermann is the head of strategic command within the Republican Army.

  • Originally Bang was going to be the pilot of one of the Storm Sworders, but when some of Hiltz's lackies showed up, targeting him specifically, he chose to stay and keep them busy while handing his slot over to Irvine. Thoma noted that Irvine had always wanted to pilot a Storm Sworder, so he accepted.

  • The Storm Sworders used in this episode utilize the boosters that were created by Dr. D in Episode 52. With the earlier flaws worked out, the Booster Rockets were able to achieve a launch altitude of 90,000 meters.
