History

First Appearance, Episode 26

When the Crossbow Brothers heard Stinger talking at a bar about how he'd been defeated by an Organoid they decided to ask about it. Though they typically didn't hang out in Imperial territory, they were in the area looking for additional work as peace times had left them rather lacking. They bought Stinger off with pure gold that they'd stolen from the Republic to tell them about the Organoid, and decided to give acquiring it a go of their own.

The two then attacked Moonbay's Gustav. They were able to zoom around the two faster Zoids of the group, even immobilizing the Command Wolf by cutting the cables on its legs. When Sieg suddenly woke up and escaped, fusing to the Blade Liger, they employed a "Heaven and Hell" maneuver. While Albert jumped up from the ground, firing down at the Liger and drawing its attention, Ross continued to provide cover fire from the ground. They both underestimated the Liger's speed and were taken down by the blades.

Kidnapping The Emperor, Episode 43

Somehow, Albert and Ross found themselves working with Stinger, who'd promised that he'd found a good opportunity for them take advantage of. That opportunity was Emperor Rudolph, relaxing on vacation. They hadn't anticipated that Bang and Thoma would also be there. Stinger insisted that the duo trust him, but they were reasonably reluctant after their earlier defeat by the Blade Liger.

Nevertheless, they followed along. While the guards weren't looking, Ross snuck over to Rudolph's Redler escorts and rigged them with explosives. As soon as they tried to take off, they started detonating. In the chaos, they went to the pathway through the woods. A hidden net gun trapped the young emperor, and Ross snatched him up while Albert held his friends back at gun point. When the two escaped, they handed Rudolph over to Stinger and got to their Hel Digunners.

The plan was that Stinger would back up against the face of the cliff, ensuring that Bang couldn't use his blade attack because he'd be unable to stop from crashing into the cliff. With Rudolph tied to a pole, and Stinger's Zoid's blade against his back, Albert and Ross attacked Bang and Thoma's Zoids while they were unable to act. All they could do was dodge. In the end Bang still used the Blade Attack, jumping off the surface of the cliff to catch (and save) Rudolph. With the young emperor safe, Thoma was free to bombard Ross's Hel Digunner with the Megalo Max. Albert tried to flee, but suffered the same defeat.

Prison Escape, Episode 63

Ross and Albert were released from their prison cells when the prison learned that the Death Stinger was closing in. All the inmates fled, and the brothers collided head on with Stinger. At first they blamed him for getting them thrown in prison, but decided to ignore their differences and escape once they heard shots. Outside, they saw the Death Stinger for the first time. Stinger insisted that he had no intention of letting the Death Stinger destroy the world when they'd just gotten back to it. Ross and Albert both felt moved by the speech, and decided to join him in fighting the Death Stinger. They stole two Hel Digunners to fight along his stolen Saber Tiger AT, and fired everything they had. However, the Death Stinger destroyed the facility without a second thought. It's presumed that the Crossbow Brothers died in the resulting explosion.
