Introduction

Known only as 'The Phantom', this man is a skilled assassin well known for never leaving a job unfinished. He plays cautiously, taking his time and lining up the perfect opportunity with contingencies in case things go south.

Basic tools. The Phantom wasn't afraid to call the Guardian Force directly after they arrested his employers.

Camouflaged Boat

During his assassination attempt the Phantom used a boat with optical camouflage, allowing it (and any Zoids on board) to become invisible on the water. When the Guardian Force closed in and started firing in his direction, he abandoned the boat and escaped underwater, then detonated it.

Underwater Vehicle

When the Phantom's boat was uncovered he escaped on a small underwater vehicle complete with scuba gear.

Smoke Grenades

He also carries smoke canisters.

Explosives

He used explosives to cause a ruckus by the parked Gustavs, drawing the attention of the guards away from the location he wanted to target. These explosives were triggered using the pictured remote detonator.

History

Assassination Attempt, Episode 53

The Phantom was hired by a group of Prozen loyalists, who wanted to see Emperor Rudolph killed. After the Guardian Force busted up the group Phantom called the residence. Bang insisted that there was no need to complete the job now that his employers had been arrested, but the Phantom disagreed, citing professional work ethic. He never let a mark go once he'd been hired.

It was believed that this assassination attempt would take place at the Guylos Grand Prix, where it was tradition for the Guylos Emperor to open the ceremonies each year. This would guarantee a set location.

While the Guardian Force wasted time scouring the stands for anyone looking suspicious, the Phantom took up his position out on the water. Using a camouflaged boat and a Gun Sniper designed to auto-balance its positioning, keeping the sniper rifle level, he locked in on the Emperor's booth and waited for his opportunity. Just when he thought it would arrive, Redler BCs appeared in the area. They'd been alerted by a young fisherman who claimed to see a 'disappearing boat.' Realizing his position was burned, the Phantom escaped underwater then detonated the vessel, destroying both it and the Gun Sniper.

He changed tactics, disguising himself as one of the pit crew. Up in the stands wasn't exactly the best location for one, however, and when Bang noticed him, the Guardian Force took chase. He knew the Emperor's booth would be guarded, so he detonated explosives near the transporters that were parked nearby. As Rosso and Viola opened the door, he threw a smoke grenade. In the brief moment of chaos he raced into the Emperor's booth and fired at what he thought was Rudolph - only to realize that it was, instead, a hologram. Bang, Thoma, Rosso, and Viola flooded in behind him. The game was lost. He threw down his weapon, and asked in amusement where Emperor Rudolph was really at. Bang informed him that he'd just won the Grand Prix, having taken a position as one of the racers.
