McMahon is a rich trader who's worked closely with the Empire for some time. Once upon a time he and Moonbay were dating, but she vanished into the night.

There's a running gag about McMahon's teeth doing a tooth-sparkle, which is perceived even by the other characters.

McMahon is familiar with a General Stenmark, who he uses to intimidate Seepers if he gets out of control. Its been implied that he has trouble with Seepers on occasion, and that this wasn't their first cross meeting.

McMahon is a successful trader. He's able to procure anything from food, to materials, to ammunition, and thanks to this business has built a lot of favor with the Imperial Army.

He's also into birdwatching.

Zoid Hangars

McMahon has a lot of stuff, but most notable is the massive hangars in his front yard. These are connected to a loud speaker system that uses swappable CDs to play blaring classical music. As they do, the hangars rise up out of the ground, seemingly loaded with sleeper Dark Horns with dual vulcans, extra horns, and fancy gold accents.

History

McMahon was once madly in love with Moonbay, an affection that seems to persist to this day. Yet, when he asked her to meet his parents she vanished into the night, and he didn't see her again for years. Not until she was involved in a chase with the Imperial Army. He sheltered her and her friends, and drove away the soldiers searching for them. He explained that he'd moved into a large, luxurious mansion there about a year prior and had been supplying the Empire with various resources through his trade.

It was abundantly clear that he still had feelings for Moonbay, and wanted her to stay. However, she still had a wanderlust. Even when Seepers showed up and held McMahon at gun point he refused to give her up, driving Seepers from his mansion and even launching a full-on counterattack against the overly-eager soldier with his own Zoids. Over the course of the evening he overheard plans from Moonbay's friends. They planned to leave without her, unable to fathom how she could give up such a luxurious life. Knowing it wouldn't be right, he told her, giving her the freedom to choose for herself. She chose to continue her journey with her friends, and they parted on good terms.

Unfortunately, much of McMahon's property was destroyed in the battle.
