Mary-Anne joined Emperor Rudolph on his vacation. At first, she reacted with absolute indignation when Thoma disrespected Rudolph because he didn't recognize who he was. However, as she began to realize that Thoma had feelings for Fine, her anger towards him softened. She convinced Thoma to let her help him win Fine over, but every attempt ended in miserable failure. In fact, one attempt actually convinced Sieg that Thoma was interested in him, starting a blind infatuation from the Organoid. Mary-Anne continued to insist on these attempts, restraining Sieg when necessary, but after their endeavors were interrupted by bandits trying to kidnap Emperor Rudolph, Thoma's feelings on the matter changed. Right as she was going to tell Fine for him, he decided that he didn't want to force confessing his feelings, and insisted that Mary-Anne give him the chance to tell Fine, eventually, in his own way. She reluctantly agreed.
