History

First Appearance, Episode 56

One day out of the blue, soldiers in the Imperial Army began being attacked by a group calling itself the Trinity Ghost. They would be targeted while out on patrol and read a (usually extremely biased) verdict of their guilt within the Empire, often mocked by three cartoonish ghost apparitions that were projected into the air. Among their targets was Lieutenant Gale and his Iron Kong, as well as Thoma Schwarz and his Dibison. Once they had a target drawn to their battle grounds three Saber Tiger ATs would appear to confront them. In an instant, those Sabers would fuse into a single, massive Zoid that towered over even the largest land-based Zoids that the Empire had to offer. Their targets would be shot down almost instantly.

Their interest in Thoma came down to him mocking how immature their tactics and behavior seemed. While Thoma survived, he ended up in the hospital, unable to help in the field. Bang went to the site of the battle in his stead, finding small electronic imaging devices scattered throughout the grass among the windmills. Thoma began evaluating these, while Bang went to the Vash Coeard Academy to research the strange technology. After all, the transmissions being sent out were being sent through the military's own communications network.

He took quite an interest in all the Zoids currently under testing and Heinz showed up personally to greet him, along with Alexander and Kurt. He explained that they were interested in creating a program where the pilot was no longer necessary, but Bang insisted that the pilot couldn't simply be replaced. Though Kurt expressed concern over why they'd visited upon their leave, Heinz insisted that they had proof of nothing. He did, however, agree that they needed to eliminate Bang Freiheit as quickly as possible if they wanted their plans to succeed.

When they summoned Bang to the fields to face his judgement, they began executing commands to their pre-programmed Saber Tiger ATs from a remote vehicle. Heinz and Kurt largely took the lead on issuing commands to the Saber Tigers, but found all of their strategies to be insufficient against Bang Freiheit's Blade Liger. Once the Sabers had all taken damage Bang Freiheit charged the remote vehicle, only to be brought to a halt by the resounding roars of the tigers behind him. They'd suddenly stopped responding to commands all together. Instead, they threw off their weapons and fought based purely on their wild instincts. Though they were still defeated, they weren't killed, and made no attempt to leave the battlefield.

When Thoma showed up to arrest them at the end of the fight, Kurt couldn't help but express his grievances about how pilots would always steal the credit for all of their hard work. Bang argued that pilots knew full well that the scientists were the brains behind their advanced weapons, but that this didn't make what they'd done any better.
