- The Tournament Of Heroes: The Royal Cup

The Royal Cup has begun, a prestigious battle held every 4 years to determine the team that will advance to Class S. As the teams are organizing and moving into their first battles, the Blitz Team takes on the Lightning Team. Their second battle against this team has some distinct differences: Including the addition of new Zoids and months worth of added experience. - Notable Facts

  • The Royal Cup is held once every 4 years. Those who win will automatically move up to Class S. All teams in Class A are automatically qualified to enter, and lucky "Wild Card" winners will be able to participate even if they're in a lower rank.

  • Battles for the Royal Cup take place on an enormous plain in the Deccan Peninsula (pronounced with a g instead of c in the dub.) 100 Teams are spread out across an enormous 385 square mile battlefield. Each time is allowed to fight with up to 4 Zoids, and are placed 6 miles apart across a 600 mile starting line. The first one to make it to the finish line is the winner.

  • The Royal Cup's finish line is not publicly stated. Instead, teams are fed info on its location with each win. If they do exceptionally well, and win 5 different battles, they'll automatically be rewarded with the location of the finish line.

  • Any Zoids who suffer a System Freeze are disqualified from the Royal Cup. If all of the team's Zoids suffer a system freeze, the team is disqualified.

  • As teams near the numerous judge capsules, the judges will announce if there are any other teams in the vicinity. If not, they move on. Teams do have the option to back away before officially entering the battlefield radius, choosing to disengage without being disqualified.

  • During the episode, The Committee of 7 grants Sara full authority to oversee the Vega team, and tasks Altair with handling the wagers instead.
