- Episode 61: The Great Sea Battle

Thanks to everyone's combined efforts the Ultra Saurus has escaped by the skin of its teeth. Now it's on its way to pick up the Gravity Cannon: The largest weapon ever built, and only able to be carried by this enormous fortress. Hiltz will send waves of mercenaries to stop their efforts, and the team must adapt for a sea battle that they're poorly equipped to handle.

- Notable Facts

  • The Ultra Saurus is stated to be the largest Zoid, but aside from basic defenses, is basically unarmed.

  • The Gravity Cannon is the largest and most powerful gun ever built, with a barrel over 50 meters long and 16 meters wide.

  • Dr. D oversaw the construction of the Gravity Cannon.

  • Krueger mentions that when he was a Lieutenant, his Zoid took a direct hit. He suffered more than 10 broken bones and severe internal injuries, and crawled across the desert for over a week before he was saved by Dan Freiheit.

  • The base where the Gravity Cannon shells were being created is hidden by stealth shields, and equipped with 3 shields that can match the power of a Charged Particle Beam.

  • The Abyss of the Devil is a region with concentrated methane hydrate deposites. They explain that methane gas under severe pressure combines with water and forms a substance that looks like ice, known as Fire Ice. It's extremely combustable and susceptible to environmental changes. This makes the region quite dangerous, as if the methane detonates, it has the power to sink a Zoid.

  • The Ultra Saurus has depth charges that it uses to detonate the fire ice, creating enough explosions to dislodge the Death Stinger from its attack. It's also noted to have torpedo decoys.

Comments: Lots of flashing colors, poor angles, and an awesome scene of the Sea Strikers going down.
