The Cannon Tortoise is a Republican Zoid with excellent armor strength and long range weaponry. The Zoid is not often seen outside of the army and while in use is almost always seen in important battles, or guarding bases. They rarely go out onto the battle field to travel long distances, as their long range cannon permits them to fight from safety.

Hydrogen-Cooled Charged Particle Beam Gun:This high power cannon is the primary weapon of he Cannon Tortoise. It is known for its extremely long firing range, and the great strength of the ammunition. Strangely, the weapon is often animated as a cannon, not a particle gun.

- Cannon Tortoise BC

"Buster Cannon"
This Zoid could also be optionally called the "Buster Tortoise," but the Buster Tortoise usually refers to the blue variation, which this is not. This is the Cannon Tortoise BC. It features a massive gun on the back and is used later on by the Republican Army. The original cannon has been removed/customized.

Heavy Beam Cannon: The massive cannon equipped to the BC is an even greater upgraded weapon when compared to the original. It fires long range beam shots and in the anime has been customized so that the original cannon acts as a rotational support beam.

- Cannon Tortoise DCS

    "Double Cannonry Set"
    This variation of the Cannon Tortoise has no name, but it is very peculiar. It appears in Episode 34 where it carries a gun that appears to be a cannonry unit similar to Molgas. It is hard to see the details on this unit but it appears that it is composed of two Cannon Tortoise units.

    Both units support the weight of the cannon. The Tortoise in the front appears to have specially modified targeting scopes where its own cannon used to be mounted, and the Tortoise in the back carries two large drums, possibly for energy generation or ammunition.

Weapon Overview:
Heavy Cannon: This unnamed weapon is used for the DCS. The larger support beam of the weapon is equipped to the top of the first tortoises shell. A secondary shock absorbent support is installed to the former cannon of the second unit. The weapon fires an extremely high powered round.
Equipment Overview:
Multi-Purpose Targeting Scopes: To assist the weapon controller, the Tortoise stationed in the front has had its beam cannon completely removed, replaced now with three additional targeting scopes of no particular name.	Ammunition Barrels: The second tortoise has two extremely large ammunition barrels, one on each side. This is supposedly for restocking the gun, but could also potentially be a cooling system to flesh the weapon when it has been overheated.

- Cannon Tortoise Telescope

This unique Tortoise has no official name, but it has had the cannon reconstructed to be a large, high quality telescope for spotting stars, other planets, etc. This Zoid was supposedly owned by Raven's pilots, but was never seen in action.
