Character Summaries:
Alphred is one of two Crossbow brothers; a couple of brothers that had supposedly fled Imperial territory some time ago. It is implied that perhaps they stuck around to steal from passing Republicans, and are quite interested in capturing Zeke.
All in all, he seems more crass than his brother. He's definitely one to talk more and he's seen to take the initiative in battles; leading attacks and starting commands. He is also the one that (nearly) captured Zeke.

Desert Heldigunner: Alphred is seen to pilot a Desert Heldigunner. His aptitude with this Zoid is very impressive. Not only can he pilot it efficiently above land but he's also able to navigate while submerged under the soft sands of the desert. His particular Zoid is equipped with a special net gun that is used to capture Zeke.
