The previous war had left great scars across the whole planet. Large quantities of "Zoidnium", an energy resource vital to the lives of Zoids and livelihoods of people, had been consumed, and as a result it was now on the brink of exhaustion. In order to preserve the endangered Zoid organisms, the Federation Government hastened the completion of the "ZNA System", which aimed to protect Zoid cores and improve the compatibility and interchangeability of parts.
The Federation Government proceeded with the construction of the large-scale investigation ship "Whale Kaiser" to secure new energy resources. At the time of the investigation mission, they decided on the use of "ZNA Zoids", reborn using the just-completed ZNA System. Several investigation teams embarked on the completed Whale Kaiser. Among them were the forms of the "ZZ Trapper Force", including Bowie, a young man who had a hero from the previous war as a father.
