 Ultimate Liger appeared in Smack Zoids! B-Part, in the February issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine, 2002. It's almost identicle to the base Liger Zero, with different shoulder plates on the front and a peg/hinge system to attach the top mane piece behind the cockpit, instead of on the top of the head.

- History

 The Ultimate Liger, also known as "Operation U" was the early development name for the Imperial Army's Liger Zero. It was based on the giant Wild Ligers of the Western Continent, created with CAS units in mind. The idea was to make a Zoid that could adapt to different battle missions, greatly improving its versatility without the need to create entirely new Zoids. The finalized version of this plan was the Liger Zero.
