Becker Eddie Crescent Frost	The Iguan is one of the fiercest Zoids around. Not because of its strength, which has long since been surpassed, but because of its incredibly high mass production numbers. It is often seen as a fated rival to Godos, and improves upon the design scheme of the Republican Zoid. It's said to have largely contributed to the spread of the Zenebas Empire's power. ^[1]

The Godos Design Scheme

During the time of Iguan's development, the Godos was a terrifying force on the battlefield. Among small-scale Zoids, nothing seemed able to compete. So, the Empire began to thoroughly research Godos that had been captured, and using its design scheme for inspiration, they completed the Iguan. In many ways, these two Zoids were alike. Even so, the Iguan was one step ahead of the Godos in overall power, as well as mobility, with newer-age equipment such as the Flexible Thruster.

- Military History

ZAC 2099, August, Western Continent War

The Guylos Empire and the Helic Republic clashed over the Red Rust, a vast desert that spanned northern Europa. Both armies were aiming for control of Mount Olympus, which was located at the center of the continent. However, the Republic, in their haste, mobilised with a third of the military power that Guylos arrived with. Swarms of Imperial Zoids overwhelmed the Republican Army, and Iguans made up a portion of the small-scale units. They were accompanied by Red Horns, which gave them an even greater advantage.

At some point during the battle, Imperial units started to fall one by one, brought down before they could send out distress signals. They were encountering the Republic's High-Speed Combat Battalion. Led by Shield Ligers, this unit tore gaps through the ever-closing Imperial lines, allowing their Republican allies to escape.

- 2-Barrel Anti-Zoid Laser Machine Gun

2-Barrel Anti-Zoid Laser Machine Gun: 2連装対ゾイドレーザー機銃

A two-barrelled Laser Machine Gun attached to the tail. This weapon provides rear support fire, helping to keep enemies off of the Iguan's tail.

- 4-Barrel Impact Gun

4-Barrel Impact Gun: 4連装インパクトガン

This weapon is installed to the Iguan's left arm, allowing it to rotate up and down. The weapon is only attached to the left arm. The right arm has a Crusher Vice.

- Crusher Vice

Crusher Vice: クラッシャーバイス

This weapon is attached to the right arm, acting as a hand. Its name is self explanatory, it serves as a vice, and can also be used for utility purposes.

- Flexible Thruster Binder

Flexible Thruster Binder: フレキシブルスラスターバインダー

The Flexible Thruster Binder is one of the pieces of equipment that really set the Iguan apart from the Godos design. At the time of its development it was considered newer equipment, and doubled the Iguan's maneuverability for short periods of time.

Small-Calibre Anti-Aircraft Laser Machine Gun x2: 小口径対空レーザー機銃x2

Two Laser Machine Guns that provide anti-air support, and tend to be moved around depending on the combat situation. By default, they're attached to pegs on the side of the head, and are able to swivel forwards and backwards. It's also not uncommon to see one equipped to the head, while the other is grasped in the Crusher Vice.

Small-Calibre Charged Particle Beam Gun x2: 小口径荷電粒子ビーム砲x2

During this stage of the war, small-scale particle weapons weren't that uncommon. Iguan has two of these attached to the sides of its tail, somewhere around the middle. They're able to swivel forwards and backwards.
