Bang Freiheit Nichalo	This white Helcat belonged to a boy named Nichalo, who lived near the village of Nordens. Not much was ever said about this Zoid, or how Nichalo got it, but it was implied that the villagers resented him, saying that Zoids were tools of war and that they were not to be played with. Tirol seems to be a given name rather than a unit name, and the Helcat lacks any form of exterior weaponry. Bang Freiheit saw this Zoid long after its death, implying that it was an apparition of the dead Helcat. ^[1]

Manifestation, Episode 51

Tirol was first seen after Bang's battle against Raven's Geno Breaker. After his Blade Liger had been thrown off a cliff, he himself got washed down a river and ended up near the village of Nordens. He wandered through, but all the villagers fled in fear. When he eventually passed out, he awoke to find himself in a ruin with a young boy and his white Helcat.

At first, the boy was happy to help and hang out. Eventually, he let on that the villagers were afraid of outsiders, and of Zoids, believing they were nothing but tools of war. He even told Bang that Tirol was the one who found him. Grateful for the boy's help, Bang offered to teach him how to pilot his Helcat, an offer he excitedly accept.

At the end of their first lesson the village was attacked by the Empire. Bang stole one of the Rev Raptors and took them on himself, but even with his skill he couldn't fight the entire unit alone. When the Rev Raptor was finally disabled, the villagers stood in the way. They expressed their deep regret for having not defended the last boy, and swore to protect Bang. The Empire still intended to attack, and would have, had Irvine, Moonbay, and Thoma not shown up to defeat the remainder of their Zoids.

The Empire's presence was a threat that'd been carefully calculated by Rease. Though bemused to find that they'd failed in killing Bang, she nonchalantly decided to handle the matter herself. Her Psycho Geno Saurer attempted to kill all of the pilots as they stood together outside of their Zoids, but before the blast could reach them, Tirol appeared before her, along with Nichalo. Both the boy and the Helcat disappeared in the subsequent blast, and truly disturbed by this event, Rease left.

The elder of the village explained that years ago, a young boy had died there when a Republican archeological survey team attacked the village. He had tried to defend a young Ancient Zoidian girl, and was mercilessly gunned down for his noble act. His Zoid still sat in the ruin, long turned to stone after its death. It was explained that Bang could never have met Nichalo and Tirol, as they'd died 10 years earlier.

- Notable Facts

Though Nichalo is listed as a pilot, Tirol was actually a wild Zoid. Nichalo was ecstatic when Bang offered to teach him how to pilot the Zoid, implying that he didn't typically pilot it before. Even so, Tirol stayed by Nicholo's side.
While most Helcats have a one-seater cockpit, Tirol's is a two-seater.

Tirol's only major appearance was in the Zoids Guardian Force anime, where the Zoid was the companion of a young boy named Nichalo. The two lived at a ruin near the village of Nordens, and rescued Bang Freiheit after he was injured by his fight against Raven's Geno Breaker. The Zoid and boy were both implied to be the ghosts of individuals who'd died years before.
