Story Information
Pilots: Introduction:
The Command Wolf SM is a variant from the Zoids Guardian Force anime, equipped with weapons that were originally intended for the Gojulas. Though the gear is thought to be far too heavy for the light-weight Command Wolf platform, Irvine was able to masterfully pilot it in battle.  [1]

Military History

The Red Saber Tiger, Episode 14

Seeing how hard Bang was taking the potential loss of his Organoid, Irvine decided to set out and find Raven, looking for a bit of revenge of his own. Dr. D stopped him, directing him to a Republican base where he could get extra equipment for his Zoid with Dr. D's word of approval. His Zoid was equipped with weapons originally intended for the Gojulas, much to the confusion of the workers who didn't understand why he'd want such heavy equipment on such a lightweight Zoid.

Nevertheless, he set out and tracked down Raven. His Command Wolf performed well beyond expectations, and the extra equipment was even able to impale Raven's Saber Tiger, pinning it in place. Unfortunately, the Zoid was even fiercer than he'd thought. After fusing to the black Organoid, Shadow, the Saber Tiger ripped free of its binds, even at the cost of its front right leg, and still brought down the Command Wolf. Luckily for Irvine, the Spread Missile unit also contained some flash flares that he used to escape.

- Notable Facts

  • The equipment of the Command Wolf SM was originally developed for the Gojulas. Dr. D made the recommendation that the Republic loan it to Irvine, and because of his prestige within the Empire, they allowed it. He later swapped out the gear for the Long Range Rifle.

- Equipment Information

- Anti-Zoid 20 mm Machine Gun

Anti-Zoid 20 mm Machine Gun 対ゾイド20mm機関砲

These machine guns are attached to the bar that the Command Wolf clamps in its jaws. They have 8 barrels each and fire shots in rapid succession, allowing them to quickly unload a huge number of bullets on the enemy. The RMZ lists these as Anti-ZOIDS 20mm Autocannon.

- Flash Flares*

Flash Flares*

These flares aren't officially listed in the stats (so have no official name) but are installed to the sides of the Spread Missiles. There are two slots on each side, allowing for 4 total to be tired at once, and once fired they create a blinding light that allows the Zoid a chance to escape.

- Spread Missiles

Spread Missiles スプレッドミサイル

Also known as the Multiple Missile Diffusion System, the Spread Missiles refer to the large box on the back. This structure houses 8 silos from which the Command Wolf can fire its Spread Missiles. These projectiles sail into the sky then explode, releasing dozens of jagged spears that rain down across the battlefield, impaling unfortunate Zoids in their way.

1. All information, unless stated otherwise, is from Zoids Guardian Force (anime).

1. Some stats are referenced from Zoids Saga or the RMZ Command Wolf Irvine instruction manual. Saga gives the wolf 46 tons of weight (same as the default Command Wolf) which the RMZ updates to 48. Saga also listed it as 190 km/h which the RMZ buffed to 200 (10 less than the standard Command Wolf.)
