Story Information
Pilots: Introduction:

The Brachios is a naval combat Zoid that exhibits a rather unique trait -- being able to travel exceptionally long distances by making use of solar generators on its head and legs. It has served in several important battles, and still has a great deal of use in the army. Back in the day, it was thought to have brought control of the seas to the Zenebas Empire.  [1]

- Military History

ZAC 2099, August

As the Empire and Republic fought over Mount Olympus, the Brachios rolled out into Mercurius Lake and served as an important defensive barrier against the Republic's advance. Its bombardment capabilities allowed it to sink the Republic's Barigators before they could get close enough to exert their power in melee combat. It took only one week for the Empire to gain control of the massive lake.

However, that same month, Pteras reinforcements arrived and started doing bombing runs on the lake. This opened up a hole in their defenses just long enough for Lt. Col. Halford's High-Speed Combat Force to be transported to the shores of Mount Olympus.

ZAC 2100, July

Brachios, along with Hel Digunners and Sinkers, made up the bulk of the Marine Corps intended to provide reinforcements to the Guylos Empire during its siege of Rob Base. However, the Republic's new amphibious Hammer Head unit took them by surprise, and the Brachios was not able to fend it off. Ultimately, the marine forces were unable to arrive at the battle in time to prevent the Empire's loss.

- Equipment Information

- 80mm Surface-To-Air Beam Gun

80mm Surface-To-Air Beam Gun: 80mm地対空ビーム砲

This anti-aircraft gun is meant to defend against units attacking from the sky, which makes the Brachios rather useful for defending its platoon. The gun is normally stowed in the back, beneath two panels. During use, the panels flip outwards, and the gun rises up on two metal beams.

- Anti-Zoid Shock Cannon

Anti-Zoid Shock Cannon : 対ゾイド衝撃砲

A single large-bore cannon installed to the Brachios' chest. It has no articulation, so can only fire dead ahead, but this is still quite useful in naval battles. Especially during invasions.

- Killer Bite Fangs

Killer Bite Fangs: キラーバイトファング

The teeth of the Brachios. During the Central Continent War, the older models of this Zoid lacked any melee equipment. This issue was resolved during the Western Continent war by equipping the Killer Bite Fangs, which filled the gap in its combat capabilities.

- Solar Generator x5

Solar Generator x5: ソーラージェネレーター

The stunning red panels on the Brachios' head and legs are actually solar generators, which draw in energy for future use. This is the true achievement of the Brachios. With all energy-based weaponry, it can coast at sea for extraordinarily long times without needing to refuel or restock ammunition. The panels are translucent red.

- TEZ 20mm 2-Barrel Linear Laser Gun

TEZ 20mm 2-Barrel Linear Laser Gun: TEZ20mm2連装リニアレーザーガン

A two-barrelled laser gun installed around the base of the Brachios' neck, betweeen the two black armor plates. Because the Brachios' weapons are energy based, they benefit from the use of the solar generators, allowing the Zoid to operate without much concern for ammunition.
