 Veauregard is a grizzled old man who hangs around the Zoid Ranch, a place for elderly Zoids who've long been disarmed to live out the rest of their lives in peace. Though he seems quite rough around the edges he acts with a great deal of depth and insight.  [1]

Chapter 5, A New Ally

While pursuing a Bio Zoid near the ranch, Veauregard ran into Midori and her Liger Blue, Souga. Though he didn't care for their help, when she revealed that she'd brought a letter from Commander Jin, he invited her back to his Zoid Ranch. The letter warned of the growing intensity of the Bio Zoid problem, but Veauregard admitted it was already too late. There was a swarm of roughly 20 of them near the ranch, and he was anticipating a battle by nightfall. Though he warned Midori to leave, she insisted on staying. Reluctantly, he welcomed her help this time around. They formed a plan for Midori to tackle enemies further out while Veauregard provided support fire from the barn. In spite of their best efforts, they could only watch as many of the ranch's Zoids panicked and fled, unarmed and unable to defend themselves. Those that ran were eaten alive by the Bio Zoid horde that awaited them. As hard as this battle was, the ranch was still standing by dawn thanks to their efforts and carefully-made combat decisions.


Chapter 8, The Final Battle

Veauregard showed up to the final battle, along with many others from across the land to confront the Bio Zoid swarm. He feigned that he felt useless at the ranch with all the youngins running about, but also warned he'd only be able to help so much. His Zoid, the Gunz Raser was unique in that it used Metal-Zi bullets. In the thick volcanic fog he wouldn't be able to distinguish enemies well, so his primary combat style would be heavily restricted.


- Notable Facts


     
  • Veauregard describes the scars of Zoids to be a historical record of everything they've lived through. A symbol of success rather than failures.

     
  • Veuaregard used to be a sheriff. However, sometime later, he traveled around and eventually washed up in Nakato, where he bought a parcel of land and established himself.

     
  • The Gunz Raser, Veauregard's Zoid, was said to once have two pistols, but for reasons unknown it now only has one.


- Zoids

Gunz Raser

 Veauregard's Zoid is a customized Death Raser known as the Gunz Raser. This therizinosaurid has a custom gun-drawing arm that allows it to wield a Metal-Zi firing pistol, making it one of the only Zoids ever depicted to use ranged weapons utilizing the rare material. It works in combination with a small Baratz Zoid to recover its fired projectiles so that it can recycle the Metal-Zi into more bullets.
