Gaphkey Karl Fever is an incredibly dangerous illness common in some parts of the Empire. While it is certainly unpleasant for adults, it is deadly to children, and will prove terminal if a vaccination is not administered within two or three days. Like most common illnesses this fever is especially dangerous to individuals who suffer from a weakened immune system.
