- Zaber Fang

Pilots: --

Zaber Fang is a Zoid frequently employed by the Imperial Army. It sees much use throughout the series, with several variations, and is considered one of the higher class units. While it is assumed that they were in deployment throughout the entirety of the series, they are not readily seen until after Raven's is defeated. Standard issue is black.

Zaber Fang AT: (Older Generation, Gold)

Pilots: Wagner

    "Assault Type"
Also known as "AT-G," this beautiful Zoid was used by Wagner of the Three Guards unit. Along with its allies they were piloted by the most renowned pilots in the history of the Guylos Empire, and share markings only seen otherwise on the Royal Zaber, implying a great amount of prestige about this Zoid.

The actual equipment of the AT-G appears to be a standard Assault Unit, with nothing custom actually applied to the weaponry. Better shoulder armor has been added to the front legs, though, sporting a golden shield with chrome trim.

Zaber Fang AT: (Older Generation, Silver)

Pilots: Vipei, Grosscao

    "Assault Type"
Also known as "AT-S," this silver Assault Type Zaber Fang is also in use within the Three Guards unit. It shares the same royal theme, but all in silver, instead of gold.

Like the AT-G, the AT-S sports a standard Assault Unit and otherwise has no custom weaponry. It does, however, have a specialized, interlocking armor plating over the front shoulders. Theoretically this provides the Zoid with a little extra defense, and also wraps close to the body which may additionally protect the leg connections.

Zaber Fang DC:

Pilots: ---

    "Double Cannon"
One more Zoid that doesn't have an official name. The Zaber Fang Double Cannon is, well, a Zaber with two large cannon barrels on its back. These weapons are attached to a butchered Assault Unit which is lacking most of the weapons. They were sent up against the Geno Breaker and almost all of them were destroyed in their attempt. Their color scheme is much like the one that would later be seen for the Cerberus.

Royal Zaber Fang:

Pilots: Homaleph, Rudolph

Also referred to as just "Royal Zaber"
This uniquely colored Zaber Fang is allegedly to be piloted only by the royal family. Like the Redlers, it is not common to see at all and is not a standard unit deployed in the army.

Aside from the unique color scheme, this Zoid sports a single large cannon hoisted on the upper right shoulder of the Zoid. It has also been customized to be a two seater, which is not standard for Zaber Fangs. Although there is a decent amount of back equipment installed on the Zoid it isn't clarified how much of this is actually weaponry.

Zaber Fang RS:

Pilots: Raven

    "Raven Special"
The Zaber Fang RS is Raven's personal Zaber Fang. Although it has custom (crimson and deep blue) colors, the Zoid has no custom equipment. In the series, Irvine is the only one to refer to it by its normal name, the Saber Tiger.

In the beginning, Raven is a fierce pilot. He shows little respect for Zoids, and in the end the Zaber Fang suffers because of it. The Zoid was given to Raven when he was first taken to the Imperial Army as a child, supposedly gifted by Minister Prozen. Its demeanor appears to mimic that of its pilot; fierce and ready to break down anything that gets in its way.

In that sense, Raven is the perfect pilot for this beast. No other Zaber Fang was ever seen thereafter, or anywhere in the series, inflicting so much damage to such a large number of Zoids.

Zaber Fang SS:

Pilots: Karl L. Schubaltz

    "Schubaltz Special"
Piloted and possibly designed by Lieutenant Karl Lichten Schubaltz of the Guylos Empire.

This special Zoid is equipped with a unique and high powered arsenal not seen on any other variant. Primary weapon use is the high powered Gatling Gun on the rear right of the back. A cannon on the left, and grenade launcher on the back are also used. The Schubaltz Special also uses an antenna that is normally found on Assault Unit, and even uses the standard back support mount used to install these upgrades onto other Zabers.

Although Schubaltz later uses an Iron Kong this Zoid makes a return near the end of the series. It is never officially destroyed and seems to be Schubaltz' choice for battles that demand more speed.

Zaber Fang STS:

Pilots: Stinger

    "Stinger Special"
    Stinger's customized Zaber Fang.

This unique Zoid is equipped with a standard Assault Unit (complete with 8 Missile Launch Pod), custom painted to match the Zoid. There are also two weapon modifications made to the Zoid. The first is a single gun muzzle weapon on the right, customized to attack to the side of the Assault Unit. This weapon fires a cartridge that releases a gas. This gas easily seeps through cockpits and causes paralysis in the pilots. The other minor modification is that the three gun barrels that are normally on the right (where the gas catridge is) has been moved to the left side of the Zoid.

Weapons aside, this Zoid is said to have a fighting capacity that is 20 percent higher than any standard Zaber Fang. This implies the Zoid isn't just well equipped but also has physical strength and endurance that surpasses the original, even though the original is already a supreme close quarter combat machine.

Stinger's specialized Zaber Fang is destroyed as soon as it appears; taken down by Van Flyheight's Blade Liger.

Zaber Fang STS Type 2:

Pilots: Stinger

    "Stinger Special"
Stinger's Zaber Fang was destroyed in Episode 25 of Chaotic Century, but since then he has rebuilt his specialized Zoid with new weaponry. It retains the same color scheme that it had before, and the same face markings.

The Type 2 includes a special, customized scythe blade and a very large cannon that's held on the right side shoulder. Much of the former equipment, including almost all of the Assault Unit weaponry on the back has been removed, likely because of how heavy the Zoid would be otherwise.
