- Mission Mode


    Mission Mode follows a story for Arro, a Rayse Tiger pilot that works with Zoitec. The story is currently untranslated, but when it is I'll put up a script. In the mean time, this guide serves as information on the unlockable items and advice for defeating difficult missions.

    If a mission has colored columns beneath the title it means that the following items have been unlocked. Red indicates Zoids, green indicates weapons, blue indicates option parts, and yellow indicates sub parts.



- Mission Guide



Mission 1A
    Mission 1A is purely for training. In this level you'll be learning how to control your Zoid. First leap over the two bars, then climb the steps to the next area. Jump down and to the left, where you'll see four narrow platforms leading over a chasm. If it makes it easier, you can just run off of the second platform onto the third, to slow down the Rayse Tiger. The next area will deal with using the dodge analog. All in all, there's not really any way to mess up this mission.


Mission 1B
    Mission 1B is used in learning how to target. Simply target the cubes one at a time and blow them up. The Pin-point Lasers work well for this (in that they do not miss much).


Mission 1C
Arosaurer Cannon Tortoise Weapon Binder ES-Generater CT Booster CT ES-Generater ARO Protect Armor
    Your final training mission. Mission 1C will pit you against six Command Wolves, but no worries. These Zoids won't attack with close range or long range, so the object is just learning how to fight against a moving target. The Laser Nest will inflict a lot of damage and allow you to rotate frequently. There will only be two Wolves at any given time.


Mission 2
Command Wolf AZ 250mm 2 LR-Cannon Assistance Booster Booster ARO ES-Generater CW Alpha Plug Z
    Ally Zoid: Helcat     
In this battle you're fighting 4-5 Sinkers. If you want a high ranking follow after your Helcat buddy and make sure to help bring down Zoids before they can inflict much damage to your friend. The Pin-Point Lasers work well for sinkers.


Mission 3
8 MSL Pod A Striker Set Booster RTI
     You'll start the battle with a Lightning Saix right in front of you, but let it go. You only need to defeat the two Sinkers, and they'll come to you. They should be pretty easy to defeat but be aware they'll be using close range combat as well. The Saix won't bother you.


Mission 4
Snipe Master Strike Tonfa Mosa MSL ES-Generater SM ZGR-Type A Blade Antenna
    Your objective in this mission is to protect the Hover Cargo. There is one Brachiozilla, one Cannon Tortoise, and Redlers in this battle.

    The Brachiozilla and Cannon Tortoise are the strongest, so take them down first. I recommend using the boosters as soon as the battle begins, and jumping to soar far ahead of the cargo. If you can, destroy Cannon Tortoise first while rotating to the Brachiozilla when possible. The Redlers are the only ones that will respawn, but occasional fire from the Weapon Binder and/or Pin-point Laser will help to distract them from the cargo.


Mission 5
Path A: Shadow Fox B-Cannon S Booster SF ES-Generater SF Booster SL Beta Plug Z
Path B: Lightning Saix Assault Unit Gatling Unit ES-Generater LS ES-Generater ST Booster ST Beta Plug Z
    There are seven Blitz Hornets to defeat in this battle. They are far away from the city though, so you'll want to use a Cannon Tortoise. There shouldn't really be any way to mess this one up.
    After the battle you will receive a question with two options. Your answer will determine the path for the next level, and the unlockables that are listed above.


Mission 6A
Boldguard MSL Seat Flexible Booster Booster SM Booster BOL ES-Generater BOL SB Generater Enemy Search Bar
    Ally Zoid: Geno Saurer
    In this mission you're fighting 40 Blitz Hornets. That may sound like a lot, but it's not as difficult as it seems. Use the boosters to charge in. You want to destroy them as fast as possible so the Laser Nest may deal maximum damage. Once you've got their numbers down, and are forcing them to respawn, you can switch to the Pin-Point Lasers. There will only be (roughly) 8 Blitz Hornets spawned at the beginning. Once they are defeated, they will spawn 1-4 at a time.


Mission 6B

    Ally Zoid: Konig Wolf MK-II
    In Mission 6B you're again up against a bunch of Blitz Hornets, but this time there are also two Snipe Master AS. In this battle you only have to destroy the two Snipe Masters, but try to do so before they manage to get near to the Konig Wolf. It isn't very competent.


Mission 7
Pteras Bomb Drop PTE Booster PTE ZGR-Type A
    Ally Zoid: Gun Sniper
    You're up against a black Shield Liger and a white Snipe Master. As soon as the battle begins you can hit the Shield Liger without consequence. The Laser Nest will throw it down in two hits, then switch your attention to the Snipe Master. Its swift close range attacks make it difficult on your ranking.


Mission 8
Blade Liger Flexible Booster AZ HD B-Cannon Bomber Unit A Rocket Booster ES Generater PTE
    There are a series of turrets that need to be destroyed in this mission. Because some of them are behind the closed walls of the base you'll need the Pteras to take this on. I recommend using the boosters, and limiting yourself to strictly using the Auto Missiles. These have a great turning ability so they can fire at incredibly short distance. Just use the boosters and zig zag as much as possible to avoid missiles.


Mission 9
Geno Breaker 2 Laser Gun HIG Con Sul Gun AZ 3S-Cannon A ES-Generater GB Reenf Protect Armor
    There's a Geno Breaker in front of you, and Zaber Fangs equipped with Weapon Binders to either side. Use the boosters to rush away from the battle so you can get your barings, then track down and destroy the Zaber Fangs. You do not need to defeat the Geno Breaker.


Mission 10
Bomber Unit B Smoke Gamma Plug Z Hgh Out SB Generater
    You're up against the Peace Keeping Bureau. Gojulas Giga inflicts the most damage by far, but Arosaurer uses a lot of close range attacks. Take down the Giga as soon as you can while running circles around it; don't be caught off guard by the Arosaurer. If you can, use boosters. The Sea Striker PBS won't attack with close range at all so you don't have to worry about getting too close to it.


Mission 11
Vulcan Unit AZ 250mm 2 LR-Cannon WD-RNG Search RDR
    Defeat all 3 Zoids. Dark Spiner will fire off a set of electrical orbs right off the bat; use the boosters to avoid these. Bring the Dark Spiner down first, then rotate between the Death Stinger and Helcat. Boosters are preferred; shields won't do you much good.


Mission 12
Dibison Beam Gatling Unit A ES-Generater DB Booster DB Multi-Blade Antenna
    Another "protect a completely defenseless ally" mission. You mustn't let the Hover Cargo be destroyed, and the Zabats are horrible. Have Weapon Binders equipped for this mission. You can destroy the Sturm Furher first if you want, but beware the mobile missiles of the Zabats. Use Weapon Binders to destroy them as much as possible. Only five will respawn, and the Sturm Furher will not respawn.

    After this battle you'll receive a question with two answers. The answer will determine your path for the next three levels.


Mission 13A
Green Horn B-Launcher B-Launcher ES-Generater RH Booster RH H Grade Plug Z
    All you have to do is destroy the towers. There's a Lord Gale and two Helcats but they aren't any threat. Just run by them and use the boosters to stay out of their way.


Mission 13B
Dark Spiner AZ50 mm WB-Cannon AEZ 20mm Beam Gun 88mm W-Cannon Killer Dome ES-Generater DS Booster DS H Grade Plug Z
    In my opinion the Mad Thunder is much easier to defeat than the Ultra Saurus in 14A. There are two Green Horns guarding this monstrous Zoid, but they're slow, and weak. Just avoid them and use the laser nest to get the Mad Thunder down to 3000 HP. If you're bored, it's also pretty easy to get it to smash its own allies with the close range attack.


Mission 14A
Konig Wolf AZ HD B-Cannon Dual Sniper Rifle S AZ 5Missile Pod Booster KW ES-Generater KW
    You're up against an Ultrasaurus and two Iron Kong Yetis. I recommend using the Laser Nest for this battle along with the booster unit. Immediately initiate the boosters and sail towards the Ultrasaurus. Do a figure 8 pattern to fire at the Ultra. This pattern will allow you to dodge most missiles. Your goal is to get the Ultrasaurus below 3000 HP.


Mission 14B
Elephander Weapon Pack B Selfpro 10RKT B HM-Booster Pack ES-Generater Red ES-Generater EL Booster EL
    This is the B-Path version of destroying the Hover Cargo. While the battle should be very easy I still recommend using the boosters. There are two Gojulas guarding the cargo and their missiles are the most likely thing to damage you. Boosters will help to weave around them. After they're destroyed the Cargo is a sitting duck. Take it out.


Mission 15A
Liger Zero X 8MSL Pod C ES-Generater X Booster X 3D Radar Multi Radar
    There's a Hover Cargo and two Elephander AG. For once, you are the one destroying the cargo! On top of that, both Elephanders are extremely weak. Take them down with the Laser Nest while rotating between the two. Once they're destroyed no Zoids will respawn and the Hover Cargo will be defenseless. Bring it down.


Mission 15B
Liger Zero X 8MSL Pod C ES-Generater X Booster X 3D Radar Multi Radar
    This is the same Tower Mission from Path A, but with different enemies. There is one Buster Furher and two Dibison. The boosters will still allow you to zip along and destroy the towers with relative ease but be aware of the 17 Shot Cannons from the Dibison. These will be most damaging to your ranking.


Mission 16
Gojulas Beam Gatling Unit B LR Buster Cannon ES-Generater RTI ES-Generater GJ Booster GJ H Grade Omega Plug ZGR-Type S
    Ally Zoid: Liger Zero (with Zaber Fang gun)
    In this mission you must protect the city from roughly 7 Rev Raptors and 15 Blitz Hornets. To ensure a good ranking follow after your ally and fight the same Zoids that they are. Pin-Point Lasers are great for dispatching Blitz Hornets and the Laser Nest is perfect for sharp shooting. You don't want to use 'seeking' weaponry because they will veer towards your ally when the Blitz Hornets zoom by.


Mission 17
Gojulas Giga Beam Gatling Unit C AZ HD B-Cannon 8MSL Pod C 8MSL Pod A A-DIR MSL Set ES-Generater GG Booster GG
    Mission 17 is a very important mission. It will decide which path you take for the remainder of Mission Mode. If you have no other game data on your memory card, besides your current Mission path, then you will be able to get to 20A by achieving rank A or S. If you have previous game data you will be redirected to 20C. If you win with a ranking below A you will be directed to 20B.

    Anyway, this time there is a Dekalt Dragon and two Command Wolf EMs. As soon as the battle begins switch to your Pin-Point lasers and move left. The enemies will move right. Swivel and fire your lasers at the Command Wolves and take this opening oppertunity to bring both wolves down. Once they're destroyed the Dekalt is fairly easy to defeat. E-Shield is recommended to deter the Dekalt if it happens to get too close.


Mission 18A
Storm Sworder Griffin LR PL-Rifle Booster GRI Booster SS Flying Unit RTI Flying Unit GRI Super Z Armor
    Ally Zoid: Dekalt Dragon
    Defeat six Chimera Dragon. If you haven't hated your allies yet, you will now. Dekalt frequently shoots you, instead of the enemy. It fires non stop and has no distinction that it's firing at an ally. Similarly, it gets in the way of your weapons. For greater control over this battle I recommend using the Liger Zero X with an E-Shield. The Blades are exactly what you need to destroy the Chimera Dragons without causing damage to your foolish comrade. The E-Shield can be used to repel a Chimera Dragon that lunges in for a close range bite, but you shouldn't have much trouble.


Mission 18B
Zabat Beam Gatling Unit C AZ HD B Cannon ATS W-Missile AZ Hand-Gun Flying Unit RTI Flying Unit LGA Booster ZAB Super Z Armor
    No ally Zoid, whoo! This time you're up against one Lord Gale and six Chimera Dragons. The Dragons will only spawn two at a time, so destroy the Gale first. I recommend a Liger Zero X with an E-Shield, but you shouldn't have much trouble as long as you stick to the Stun Blades.


Mission 19A
Dekalt Dragon LRB-Cannon Eagle Big B-Cannon ES-Generater SS ES-Generater GRI ES-Generater DDR Flying Unit DDR Booster DDR 3D Radar
    Ally Zoid: Dekalt Dragon
    Your job is to defeat the Brastle Tiger but there are also two gun turrets. You have two options; you can fight directly with an E-Shield equipped, or if you're easily amused, you can use the flight unit for the Rayse Tiger to fly up to the bar above the battle field, where you can take out the turrets from relative safety.

    Brastle is fierce. Use the Laser Nest as much as you can, and be facing it head on. The reason you'll be facing it directly is because it uses a lot of close range combat, but when it lunges you can run forward and run right under it.


Mission 19B
BF Sturm AZ50mm WB-Cannon Hig Con Sul Gun LR PL-Rifle Big B-Cannon Bomb Drop Zab ES-Generater BS ES-Generater ZAB 3D Radar
    Now things are getting screwed up. On Path B not only do you have to dispatch the Brastle Tiger and the two turrets, but you also have to work around the additional Geno Breaker Jet. This level is nothing to scoff at, so first thing first; Rayse Tiger with an E-Shield.

    When the battle begins fire one Laser Nest shot to stall the Brastle, then rush forward and swing around; putting Brastle and Jet both in front of you. Shoot the Brastle again to bring it down then stall the Jet and move for the left Turret. Try to destroy both while avoiding the Zoids. If you aren't too close to the edge, just jump over them both. When you have the turrets gone, take down the Jet first, then the Brastle, using the E-Shield to deter close range attacks when necessary.


Mission 20A
    Ally Zoid: Brastle Tiger
    Destroy the Megasaurer. This is an excrutiating battle. While the Zoid isn't hard to defeat the missiles deal a lot of damage and your ally will destroy your ranking. I recommend the Laser Nest until it runs dry. It only takes one shot to stall the Megasaurer, which is extremely important considering its weaponry.


Mission 20B

    Mission 20B is infinitely harder than 20A, but by no stretch impossible. Not only must you defeat a Death Saurer, but there is also a Brastle Tiger and Dekalt Dragon on the field that will be marked as enemies. Destroy the Brastle Tiger first, its seeking weaponry is most likely to land a hit, then destroy Dekalt. Only after those two are both out of the way should you go after the DS. If you try to fight it without confronting them than their weapons are bound to catch you off guard.


Mission 20C
    Ally Zoid: Brastle Tiger, Dekalt Dragon
    Path 20C is unlocked if you have completed the Rank S paths (following Path A) when you already have save data from the game on your memory card. In this case, the final battle kicks over to 20C instead of 20A.

    In this battle you are fighting the Megasaurer, with two allies. Fight it as you normally would a Death Saurer; try to stay at its flank and never stay directly in front of it. The Charged Particle Cannon is devastating and can destroy you in a single unfortunate moment.

    It's worth noting that the battle only shows the Brastle Tiger's stats. I didn't pay attention to tell if it can just only show a single ally or if the Dekalt doesn't take any damage. As far a I'm aware, you won't unlock anything new by completing Path C, Rank S, that wasn't already unlocked in other modes.
