  • As of Episode 9, Clive Dias and Leo Conrad were the only two pilots to ever land a hit on the Red Reaper.

History

Intercepting Leo Conrad, Sniptera RR, Episode 3

After Leo escaped with Sally Land, the Empire put out a report, claiming that the group were fugitives carrying out criminal espionage within Imperial Territory. This led to Christopher Giller attempting to intercept them, and throughout the battle they strayed across their own borders. Before he could finish off the Beast Liger, he was interrupted by Clive Dias and his Triceradogos Kai, warning him not to start a fight outside of Imperial air space. He was forced to give up the chase.

Defense of the Dig Site, Sniptera RR, Episode 6

Christopher Giller was sent to guard an excavation site. He intercepted Leo Conrad and his Beast Liger when they wandered too close, and ultimately defeated the Liger.

Response, Sniptera RR, Episode 9

Christopher Giller responded to a report that Imperial troops had engaged in battle with a lion-type Zoid. He found Leo Conrad and his Beast Liger. This time, however, the Beast Liger used an old aircraft launcher to leap into the sky and damage the Sniptera's wing, forcing it to retreat.

Response, Sniptera RR AW, Episode 11

Christopher Giller was tasked with guarding all research projects relating to the Genospino, and thus escorted Frank Land on his research expeditions. However, when the final piece of the Genospino's fossile nearly burned through its containment and had to be dropped into the forest, Giller immediately went to locate and protect it. At the time, his Sniptera was equipped with two All-Weather High Power Boosters. He succeeded in stopping the Beast Liger's attacks, at least long enough for the fossil to be recovered by the Empire. This allowed them to revive the Genospino.

Temporary Alliance, Sniptera RR AW, Episode 13

After the launch of the Genospino, Giller flew his Sniptera to Republican territory. He requested to land and met with Clive Dias. He expressed his interest in clearing Collins' name, knowing that Siegal's story about him being responsible for the Genospino's assaults was nonsense. After all, Collins was dead. He asked for Dias' help in this task, and even pretended to be a prisoner, so that Dias could make use of his Sniptera without the risk that Giller would be accused of treason. At this point, he stopped answering Dr. Land's calls, distancing himself from the Genospino project.

Launch From The Republic, Sniptera RR LAC, Episode 14 ~ 15

Now under the control of Clive Dias, the Sniptera RR was launched from Republican Territory to confront the Genospino. The Zoid's agility made it perfect for weaving around the monster's attacks, and Dias was able to lead it into Steal Area, an ancient city of skyscrapers. Here they launched everything they had against the Zoid. The Sniptera was damaged by gunfire and forced to land, but its true pilot, Giller, waited nearby. When a building was collapsed on the Genospino, with Giller boring through the bottom in a Catalga, the Rising Liger got in close and pierced the Genospino's Zoid Core. It was finally defeated.

Equipment Information

A-Z Sniper Rifle and Scope Crest

When the Sniptera activates is Machine Blast, it rotates the Scope Rest over the face to take aim at enemy Zoids. The jaw opens up, a hinge rotates it backwards, and the A-Z Sniper Rifle extends from the throat. This high-precision weapon is usually enough to down a target in a single shot.

Cutter Wing

The fronts of the wings are lined with triangular blades that the Sniptera can use to slash an opponent.

Drum-type Missile Launcher

The wheel-looking objects on the Sniptera are specialized missile launchers. When in use, the wheel rotates, then locks into position to fire a missile and immediately rotates to load in the next. It contains roughly 12 missiles.

Flare Countermeasures

Giller's Sniptera is seen using flare countermeasures to offset homing missiles. This equipment isn't typically standard on the Sniptera.

Force-Barrel Gatlings

Two gatling guns attached to the bottom of the wings. They're one of the Sniptera's most frequently used weapons, especially when dive bombing enemy Zoids. As one would expect, they have a high rate of fire.

Magnessor System

The Snipteras appear to use Magnessor Systems like flying Zoids on Zi once did. These are illustrated by glowing blue panels all throughout the underside of the wings, and allow the Zoid to perform vertical take off and landing, as well as hovering in place.

Jet Engine

Sniptera's wings are equipped with Jet Engines, which allow the Zoid to rapidly take off.
