- Notable Facts

  • The Energy Liger is estimated to be the most powerful Zoid in existence at the time of this episode.

  • Piers names the Energy Liger based on the strange energy used for its Beam Cannon, which takes 0.03 nanoseconds to make contact with its target.

  • The Berserk Führer, Buster Eagle, and Lord Gale were irreparably damaged, said to be torched so badly that they couldn't even be used for parts. While this seems to be true for the first two, the Lord Gale is indeed used later on.

  • Luc felt extremely guilty over the loss of their Zoids, and blamed himself for not being a good enough co-pilot. He's the one who gave Blade the Gairyuki. He developed it with an Automatic Defense Program that would trigger any time it detected that the Gairyuki was being attacked by a greater force, and would deploy the two BLOX integrated into the armor. In the English dub, he calls this Zoid the Gairyuki (pronounced guy-ricky) Fury, but in the Japanese version, it's just the Gairyuki, which is accurate to the kit.

  • Luc has a pendant around his neck that controls the hangar bay where the Gairyuki was stored. He normally keeps this tucked under his suit.

  • RD describes the Alpha Zoid as a Zoid that's all about justice, and is convinced that it wouldn't attack the Liger Zero in spite of their power difference. In the English Dub this used a generic silhouette referencing the Energy Liger. In the Japanese Version, this was changed to an early look at the Liger Zero Falcon. Funny enough, the generic silhouette fit the narrative better at the time (the assumption that the Energy Liger was the legendary Alpha Zoid.)

  • Blade feels as if the Gairyuki has a mind of its own, and this seems to be implied by the lense within the cockpit, that focuses at key moments. Blade's gear responded to the Zoid as soon as he took the pilot seat.
