Pilots: Herman, O'connel

The Pteras is a small aerial Zoid belonging to the Helic Republic. It is one of the first air craft units deployed on the battle field, and comes in a variety of variations, colors, and equipment, most of which is not intended for direct combat purposes. The standard issue of this Zoid is blue, but this scheme seems to be fighting for its position as the mainstream with the gold and blue Pteras.

Weapon Overview:
16mm Vulcan Gun: The small nozzle on the right side of the Pteras' gun. It fires multiple shots in rapid succession.	Two Shot ASM Pod x2: These are the two guns that are on either side of the chest.
Dual AAM Launcher: This is a large two barrel gun stationed on the back of the Pteras.	No weapon listed.
Equipment Overview:
Magnesser Wing: Every Pteras has magnesser wings, wings that supposedly push off of he planets gravity to fly. On more or less every Pteras the wings glow gold when in use.

Pilots: Moonbay, O'connel, Herman

"Beam Gatling"
This Pteras is equipped with a Beam Gatling unit, which is installed around the top of the legs. It is one of few Pteras that actually have weapons installed, but the Zoid is almost always defeated before it can inflict any damage. Such is the life of a cannon fodder Zoid.

Beam Gatling Unit x2: A high powered, rapid-firing weapon. This is installed to the sides of the Pteras, and it is one of the few Zoids to possess two of this weapon.

- New Helic Pteras

Pilots: Moonbay, Dr. D
Although it has no official name, the blue and gold Pteras was first seen in New Helic City, deployed over the battle field. It is possible these Zoids instead came from Red River Base, but with so many in the air it's kind of hard to tell. They have golden wings (even when not in flight), golden jaw pieces, and golden feet, with the normal blue Pteras scheme. Otherwise, there appears to be nothing special about that.

- Pteras Radome

Pilots: O'connel

The Radome variation is essentially used to monitor large expanses of air space over the Helic Republic. It carries a massive radar array on the back and has no custom weaponry. Originally it was seen tracking the movements of the Geno Breaker.

Radar Dome: This is the large disc seen on the back. It is used with a variety of radar equipment to monitor other Zoids, both in the air and on the ground over an extremely long distance.

- Pteras Simulation Type

Pilots: ---
The name "Simulation Type" is unofficial, but this completely solid grey Pteras was used by the Republican Army during pilot simulations. It was here that pilots would test their skills, although the Pteras tend to show very little competence in battle. They have no custom equipment.

- Yellow Pteras

Pilots: ---
This Pteras wasn't used by any particular faction (at least that was shown) but is similar to the Helic Republic Pteras. The feet, which are not shown, are blue-gray-ish like the other parts of the body, while the armor of the entire Zoid is yellow.
